Ruby red dyed candy jade is a very royal looking color! Here I combined 6 mm rondellea and 18 x 12 mm puffed oval ruby red candy jade beads, 4 mm faceted opalite glass beads and sterling silver findings including beads, ear wires and a spring ring clasp. The necklace is 18" in length and the earrings are 1 1/8" plus the ear wires.

Candy jade is an interesting stone made of what the Chinese refer to as "Bai Yu," or White Jade by its common name. This type of natural stone is hard and white or semi-translucent white in color. After being cut and polished, the stones go through a complex color enhancing process, penetrating from surface to center with wonderful colors, thus their common name, Candy Jade.
