In creating this necklace I selected large turquoise nuggets and sterling silver findings including 5 mm seamed beads, 6 x 20 mm mellon beads, cones and a hook and eye clasp. In making this wonderful necklace I used a full 16" strand of these beautiful turquoise neggets ranging in size from about 1/2" to 7/8" by 1/4" to 3/8" by 1/8" to 3/8". Years ago I invested a lot of money buying hundreds of turquoise nugget strands mostly from Kingman. I can't find comparable turquoise for reasonable prices today. Needless to say, it was a great investment as can be seen in this impressive necklace! The turquoise is a bright blue-green with brown matrix!
